William O. Powell, age 81, died Monday, April 22, 2013 at his home in rural Hillpoint. He was born September 2, 1931 the son of John and Gladys (Prouty) Powell. On February 14, 1953 he married Miriam Janney at her parent's home in Baraboo. He was a lifetime member of the Sandusky United Methodist Church. William was willing to do anything for anybody, devoted to God, and loved to sing. He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather and great grandfather.

Survivors include his wife Miriam Powell of Hillpoint, 5 children Rodney (Nancy) Powell of Reedsburg, Douglas (Karin) Powell of Wonewoc, Cheryl (Steve) Husker of Reedsburg, Sue (John) Husker of Reedsburg, Chris Powell of Hillpoint, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 3 special girls, a sister Dolores (Bob) Arneson of Lime Ridge, a brother-in-law Tom (Joyce) Janney of Portage, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a great grandchild, and a brother-in-law Dan Janney.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Sandusky United Methodist Church. Burial will be held in the Sandusky Cemetery with Pastor Deb Burkhalter officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday at church from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
