Herbert "Herb" F. Hansen, age 71, of Sextonville died Monday, November 11, 2013 at the Richland Hospital. He was born on July 10, 1942 in Washington State the son of Herbert & Genevieve Hansen. On May 25, 1991 he married Ruth Ann Frank at the Rockbridge park. Herb was enlisted in the United States Navy. He was a fine example of the program Alcohol Anonymous and continued his sobriety for 25 years. He was proud to be a sponsor to many other members of AA. Herb enjoyed spending time with his family, an avid Packer fan, and riding his motorcycle with Ruth traveling near and far. Herb was a part of the Woodstock generation and enjoyed many concerts like Steve Nicks, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac and many more.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years Ruth Hansen of Sextonville; 3 children, Christina (Paul) O'Neal of Lone Rock, Denis (Tammy) LaRocco of Reedsburg, Delora (Hugh) Schavier of Wisconsin Dells; a close granddaughter Amber Eng and 16 other grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a brother Don Hansen of Washington State; a very close best friend Jerry Renaud Jr.; along with numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 6:00 PM at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center, Wisconsin. The Local Military Honors Unit will provide military services at 5:30 PM. Friends may call at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until the time of services.
